Voted one of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, The FireWorks is named for Chef Michael Smith’s 25-foot brick-lined, wood-burning, fire-breathing beast that anchors the nightly Feast at The Inn at Bay Fortune, Prince Edward Island. The Fire Brigade creates a new menu daily using ingredients from The Inn at Bay Fortune’s Culinary Farm and herb gardens. It showcases wild foraging and a myriad of locally sourced flavours. The FireWorks Feast is served nightly from May 17 to October 13, 2024.
Our unique dining experience takes place over four hours featuring ingredients from our Culinary Farm, foraged and local tastes. Start with a Culinary Farm Tour with a petite Farm Taste of the freshest vegetable on the farm. Next is Oyster Hour featuring ember roasted oysters, unlimited raw oysters and various stations with hors d’oeuvres cooked or smoked with live fire. After a toast, we Feast. The Feast includes a sit-down multi-course meal in front of our 25-foot live-fire hearth. We serve a Bread course, Iron Chowder, Earth Plate & Salad Course, Meat with Vegetable Course, and Farm Dessert. Ending the night is our seasonal house-made marshmallows to roast over an open fire.
The Inn at Bay Fortune features its own cookbooks, Lookout, Fire Garden, experimental chefs garden, immersive art forest trails with natural art sculptures, Mushroom Patch, Apple Orchard and many other features. Plus, a flock of free-range hens and pigs who naturally help remove pests, till and fertilize our Culinary Farm soil.
