Story behind special: 

“We decided to create a pizza special that pays tribute to a classic islander favourite and a PEI staple: the potato!

Our pizza will be called “BUD THE SPUD” Parmesan cream base, mozzarella cheese, caramelized leeks, thinly sliced PEI potatoes, fresh thyme, salt and pepper.

We wanted to pay tribute to something we personally love, and something that PEI is known for. Chef Scott is also a classically French trained chef; therefore, this has a “Dauphinoise” similarity.

Some may also relate this to scallop potatoes! This is our “less is more” pizza with the potato being in the spotlight.

Where is the name from? Well, Stompin’ Tom of curse from Skinner’s Pond PEI which is a stone throw from where Chef Scott grew up in Seacow Pond. This one hits home for sure.”
