Country Road Cabin Rentals is located on our beautiful property in Tracadie Cross, PEI. Our family is very proud of our little oasis that we have created and want others to be able to enjoy its peacefulness and beauty as much as we do.
Our cabins are located just thirty feet from the Confederation Trail. Tracadie Cross is centrally located. We are just 21 kms from Charlottetown, 5 km to Blooming Point Beach, 19 kms to The Links at Crowbush and 15 kms to Dalvay beach. The central location makes it an ideal base for exploring the best of PEI.
After a day of biking, golfing, or exploring PEI’s gorgeous beaches, unwind in the peaceful surroundings of our cabins. It’s the perfect spot to rest, recharge and immerse yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds us.
Harness Racing is a very big part of our lives. With our standardbred horses located on site. Enjoy the morning views of our horses jogging on our personal training track. Their beauty is amazing. You will find some other four-legged family members on our property as well. This is true country living with all the modern-day conveniences.
We have four rustic cabins with all the amenities for comfort. Each cabin has electricity, small kitchen with a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, dishes, and cutlery. A deck with deck furniture to enjoy the fresh country air is an added bonus.
Each cabin sleeps 5 (one set of bunk beds is single top and bottom and the second set of bunk beds is double on bottom and single on top). All bedding and bath towels are provided.
There are 2 separate full baths located on the property for all four cabins to share.
A BBQ, laundry service and water bottle filling station are some of the added features you will find on our property, for all guests to use.

Summer Winds has fully furnished, heated and air conditioned cottages and cabins with satellite TV, Wi-Fi hotspot, outdoor fireplaces and gas barbecues on your deck. Cottages are spread out around a large fresh water pond and stream on our 12-acre wooded and cleared property. Our beautiful sandy beach is on the Cardigan River and is less than a 5-minute trail walk from your cottage. There is a playground and sandbox on the property for the little ones. Brudenell/Dundarave Golf Resort within 3 km. Fine and casual dining restaurants, antique and jewelry shops nearby. Kayakers/cyclists haven, walk or bike the Confederation Trail, swimming, clam digging, seal cruises and live theatre nearby.

The Cidery is located in Caledonia, the heart of south-eastern Prince Edward Island. Named for the ravine that dissects the land into two hills, we are now growing 16 different varieties of cider apples. The farm is also home to a wide variety of wild apple trees that provide apples to our Nomad cider.

During early April – end of October they operate a Sunflower Trail, which is beautiful and indended for family photo opporunities.

In September-October they operate a massive Maize Quest Corn Maze which is full of scavenger hunt type activities, great for the entire family. The Corn Maze can take up to 1.5 hours to complete. They also have a Mini Maze for the smaller children.

Come Halloween Season they operate a Halloween Trail which is the scariest destination east of Charlottetown for the thrill seekers.

During regular business hours 10am-6pm daily, they are full of local vegtables that have come straight off the farm and directly to their Market. They also have a wide variety of pumpkins and seasonal fall decor items.

You can climb the lighthouse to the top and enjoy the views! Included with the price of admission is an optional guided tour. Or you can stroll the grounds, where there are informational display boards to read. There is also a gift shop in the Keeper’s Cottage with lots of merchandise to tempt you!

Voted one of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants, The FireWorks is named for Chef Michael Smith’s 25-foot brick-lined, wood-burning, fire-breathing beast that anchors the nightly Feast at The Inn at Bay Fortune, Prince Edward Island. The Fire Brigade creates a new menu daily using ingredients from The Inn at Bay Fortune’s Culinary Farm and herb gardens. It showcases wild foraging and a myriad of locally sourced flavours. The FireWorks Feast is served nightly from May 17 to October 13, 2024.

Our unique dining experience takes place over four hours featuring ingredients from our Culinary Farm, foraged and local tastes. Start with a Culinary Farm Tour with a petite Farm Taste of the freshest vegetable on the farm. Next is Oyster Hour featuring ember roasted oysters, unlimited raw oysters and various stations with hors d’oeuvres cooked or smoked with live fire. After a toast, we Feast.  The Feast includes a sit-down multi-course meal in front of our 25-foot live-fire hearth. We serve a Bread course, Iron Chowder, Earth Plate & Salad Course, Meat with Vegetable Course, and Farm Dessert.  Ending the night is our seasonal house-made marshmallows to roast over an open fire.

Learn the story of railroading on the Island through photographs, maps, material and cultural objects, and the original station master’s office.

Take a ride through the woods on our trackless electric train – a wonderful experience for kids an adults alike – then ride the ‘wye’ in a 1986 Fairmount speeder train car along the original track used since the mid-1930s to turn the train at Elmira Station.Home to the PEI Miniature Railway representing railroading on PEI in its early days, and one of Atlantic Canada’s largest model train collections displaying over 200 HO scale models. Enjoy a reading nook where visitors can quietly browse through a large resource library with over 1900 railway-related titles.

Elmira Railway Museum also showcases many items from the retired CN ferry, the Abegweit. For many decades, the trains helped connect passengers to the CN ferries which took people and goods from PEI to the mainland and return. A documentary video shows a CN locomotive loading on the ferry leaving PEI for the last time in December 1989.

On display, is CN Caboose #78431, built from a railway box car in 1943. Visitors can explore the interior, which is used for children’s programming. The Elmira Railway Museum is one of seven provincial heritage sites administered by the PEI Museum and Heritage Foundation. You can purchase Heritage Passports that grant access to all seven provincial sites, with senior, student, and family rates available.
