As of January 2026, there are approximately 600 nuns at GWBI. While most of us come from Taiwan, some of us hail from Canada, China, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, and the United States.

We are a tulip UPICK farm.
Admission required to enter, Admission does not include picking tulips – there is an additional cost to pick tulips.
We are 4.5 acres, millions of tulips, in collaboration with VANCO Farms.
Created to give people a place to immerse themselves in tulips so they stay OUT of Vanco’s working tulip fields.
We have a small 21 day window that we are open due to the nature of the tulips being in bloom. We are open everyday during that window from 9 am – dusk. Unless the wind becomes too dangerous for us to be open (Belfast is very windy).
We don’t have a phone that the public can call due to the nature of existing in a farm field.

While foraging for nectar and pollen, our bees provide a necessary service: POLLINATION. It is fascinating to watch these tiny creatures work, communicate and nurture and how these unsung heroes’ labours sustain the food chain that supports global food security, ecosystem stability and human life.

JoBees honeybees provide an incredibly clear, light and sweet honey – directly from the hive, filtered, to jars for your enjoyment.

During early April – end of October they operate a Sunflower Trail, which is beautiful and indended for family photo opporunities.

In September-October they operate a massive Maize Quest Corn Maze which is full of scavenger hunt type activities, great for the entire family. The Corn Maze can take up to 1.5 hours to complete. They also have a Mini Maze for the smaller children.

Come Halloween Season they operate a Halloween Trail which is the scariest destination east of Charlottetown for the thrill seekers.

During regular business hours 10am-6pm daily, they are full of local vegtables that have come straight off the farm and directly to their Market. They also have a wide variety of pumpkins and seasonal fall decor items.

This location has a new feature, there has been an addition of two Electric Vehicle chargers.

The grassy path leads to a wooden deck where display pedestals provide information about buffalo. The deck overlooks a 100-acre enclosure where the herd of 43 of these large and wonderous animals graze.

The American buffalo is a massive horned woolly ruminant native to North America—a descendant of one of the great Pleistocene giants that wandered across the Bering Strait land bridge during the last Ice Age. Our buffalo history dates back to 1973 when the Province of Alberta gifted the Province of Prince Edward Island a herd of prairie buffaloes in honour of the Island’s centennial celebrations.

Opens June 22 Daily 10am – 6pm.
