The East Pointers’ Goolaholla! brings Good Times to PEI/Epekwitk in Fall of 2023 in a new boutique music, art and camping festival!
Goolaholla! (Good Times!) is a gift of love and music from JUNO award winners, The East Pointers, to the community of Epekwikt (Prince Edward Island), and particularly to the town of Souris.
Announcements so far include: The East Pointers (of course); local powerhouses the Mi’kMaq Legends; devastatingly emotional, thank-god-she’s-so-funny in between songs JUNO award/GRAMMY nominated buddy Rose Cousins and her band; and one of our Aussies mates, Emma Memma (Emma Wiggle) – with plenty more to come.
We aim to bring the captivating magic and joy of music we have experienced on our travels right back to our hometown, and we hope that you’ll join us.
Originally called Harvest Home Festival, our aim for a hometown event sprang from our passion for great music, some of the festival experiences we’ve been lucky enough to have overseas, and a desire to share it with you, our local community. After two cancellations (Covid-19 and Hurricane Fiona) we’re newly inspired to create an immersive experience that transports you into a world of pure musical delight. Koady was incredibly ambitious for this festival and his passion is a flame we’ll keep burning.
With a carefully curated lineup of acclaimed music, comedy, workshops and talks alongside children’s activities and the Goolaholla! Games, we promise to deliver a one-of-a-kind weekend that will light your fire before the Island descends into the underworld of Winter.
