Join fisherman Jim Conohan as he harvests fresh mussels from the river and explains how PEI has become the largest producer of mussels in North America. You’ll help him clean them and then he’ll cook them along with a 1 1/4 pound lobster.
Add in potato salad and a roll and you have a traditional Island lobster supper in a beautiful setting. You’re welcome to bring your own wine or beer if you like. Otherwise we’ll have water, coffee or tea for you.
If the tide is low you’ll also do some clam digging and beachcomb for other shellfish like oysters, rock crab and periwinkles to add to the feast.
