Description:

Sir Andrew Macphail and L.M. Montgomery: The Emotional Textures of the Lives of Two Distinguished Islanders. Both Macphail and Montgomery were of Scots descent, and many parallels can be drawn from their upbringing - Montgomery by her strict Presbyterian grandparents, Alexander and Lucy Woolner MacNeil, and Macphail by his schoolmaster father, William, and his mother, Catherine Moore Smith McPhail.

Deirdre Kessler, author and current Prince Edward Island Poet Laureate, will give glimpses into the lives, the poetry, and the writing of Macphail and Montgomery. Deirdre is enthusiastic about life and the lives of those she researches and reads about.

The brunch is generous and the company around the large tables engaging. The cost is $25. Please email or call (902) 651-2789 to reserved a seat.
