This festival celebrates the pioneer experience at Roma's Site. Featuring: music, dance, costumes, toys, heritage food & pioneer work such as: gardening, bread making, quill pens writing, drop spindle and cod fishing... pony rides and games for children!
Foods of the 1700s - Roma's Food Tent is open all day, serving fabulous foods typically eaten in the 1700s, with a few exceptions! Try - hearty vegetable soups, sensational seafood chowder, fish cakes, bread from the outdoor oven ginger cookies, frosted chocolate cake and coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water.
MARS Heritage Chocolate Making Demonstrations - ALL DAY!
Daily Demonstrations - Quill Pen writing, Rug Hooking, Antique Musket Display - Ray Holden, Blacksmithing with Clayton Lavoie; Tim Mair, traditional wooden boat builder presenting Roma's replica chaloupe - the workhorse boat of the 1700s.
